YouTube stars perform off-screen, on stage

What happens when you bring together eighteen YouTube stars with around 50 million subscribers and 5 billion views onto a stage? Well, we’re about to find out when YouTube FanFest comes to Singapore this weekend.

Last year, our top YouTube creators joined the world's first ever FanFest in Singapore and performed to a ballroom packed with screaming fans. We’re bringing a whole new crew to town for the sequel, including some of YouTube’s most popular international, regional and local artists. Here are some of the highlights:

Dubbed Singapore’s answer to Kanye West, one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time, ShiGGa Shay has made a home (and a name!) on YouTube with his fast, multilingual lyrics. Here’s one of his biggest hits to date:

For a spot of Singaporean humor, Tree Potatoes have you covered. Through classic comedy clips such as “11 Differences Between Dating and Marriage”, they’ve become one of YouTube’s top 5 channels in Singapore.

And in neighboring Malaysia, Joseph Germani is winning fans with a ditty about Monchichi, that famous Japanese toy monkey from the 1970s.

YouTube is home to a new generation of passionate video creators. YouTube FanFest represents the full range of Southeast Asian talent right on stage. Whether you're hankering for Singlish humor or tri-lingual rap, there's a bit of something for everyone, so check out the program for the full line-up of acts and tune in to the show live on YouTube starting tomorrow.
