Map Maker comes to Singapore

On a big world map, Singapore sometimes just looks like a little red dot, but anyone who’s been here before will know just how much of this island state is lush green spaces, historic landmarks, and vibrant cityscapes. Starting today, Google Map Maker welcomes locals and visitors alike to contribute their knowledge of Singapore toward building a more comprehensive map of the Lion City and help ensure it’s accurately reflected for the world to see.

Whether you’re a city slicker or a nature lover, Map Maker offers ways for you to enrich the maps of the places you care about most. You can map the retail outlets along the famed shopping destination of Orchard Road, or draw the trails through the Botanical Gardens. Studious types who find themselves at the National University of Singapore this summer break can mark out the footpaths and buildings on campus. You can even add local language labels and other features of interest, such as beaches or your favorite cafes. Once approved, your contributions will appear on Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Maps for mobile.
