Did you know that one in three children in Taiwan has shared their social networking account passwords with others? And among them, over half have shared their passwords with people who are not their parents. There are a lot of great things to share, but kids need to know that a password is not one of them.
This is why we’re supporting the efforts of the
Child Welfare League Foundation (CWLF) to educate kids, parents and teachers in Taiwan about staying safe online. Over the next twelve months, CWLF will run a Family Online Safety Program that includes digital literacy workshops for both parents and kids, and an interactive online safety experience on Children’s Day on April 4. We especially look forward to seeing creative entries to a competition for the best online safety video on YouTube that’s happening later in the year -- stay tuned for more details on how to enter!
