Hong Kong is one of the world’s most densely populated cities. But did you know that 70% of its land is made up of green spaces? That makes Hong Kong one of the greenest urban areas in the world and starting today, you can virtually explore 23 of the city’s stunning outdoor destinations on Street View, including
Aberdeen Reservoir,
Tung O Ancient Trail and
Tai Tam Reservoir.
We used the Street View Trekker, a wearable backpack with a camera system on top, to capture new panoramic photos of over 250km of Hong Kong’s landscapes that are only accessible by foot, including some of the city’s top trails.
You can now virtually walk along the Dragon’s Back, one of Asia’s most scenic urban hiking trails, and enjoy the ridge-side views across the rolling hills of Shek O and down towards the sea.
And if you’re looking for a break from the city’s concrete jungle, you can also explore along the Repulse Bay Promenade or head into the thick of the forest along Aberdeen Reservoir right from Google Maps.
With summer just weeks away, we hope this new imagery of Hong Kong inspires you to get your walking shoes on and plan some outdoor adventures.
